David Anthony Parrott III was born in Memorial Hospital, Corpus Christi, Texas April 24, 1968 to Sherry and David Parrott II. He was raised in Corpus Christi, Texas for about nine months and then moved to Oklahoma with his family. He stayed about two years and then moved to Dallas, Texas. In 1973 he moved again to Austin and graduated from Crockett High School with a GED.
During high school, David enjoyed listening to music (rock-n-roll, jazz), attending concerts, riding motorcycles, loved his dogs (dressing them with red bandanas) and enjoying the company of his friends. David was a handsome brown-eyed boy with brownish blond hair and his friends sometimes called him Dave.
In 1998, David moved near his mother near Buescher State Park, Smithville, Texas and worked for Austin Metro as a bus driver for awhile. After some time, David went to Texas State Technical College and studied computer networking. He completed a two year Associates degree and graduated on May 21st 2005. He worked for Unisys Corporation as an information technology specialist in Austin, Texas.
On 22 June 2006, David enlisted in the United States Army. He completed his basic and advanced individual training becoming an allied trade specialist responsible for supervising and performing the fabrication, repair and modification of metallic and nonmetallic parts. He operated lathes, drill presses, grinders and other machine shop equipment.
Private Parrott served during the Gulf War in the Middle East and was a first responder during the Ft Hood massacre. He received an Overseas Service ribbon, National Defense Service Medal and Army Service ribbon. He was promoted to the rank of Specialist before being honorably discharged in May of 2010.
He is survived by his mother Sherry Parrott, his two Aunts, Ms. Diana Bednash and Ms. JoAnna Parrott, his maternal Aunt Ms. Vicki Shea and his cousins Tommy, Andy and Jana Braendle, Tommy and Joey Bednash, his deceased Paternal Grandfather David Parrott I (Senior) and Bernice Parrott.
About nine years ago, David asked Jesus Christ to be his LORD and personal savior and the family takes great solace in knowing David is with the LORD.
