Dwight Peterson was born May 9, 1951 to Otis and Raydell Peterson. He accepted the Lord at an early age and was a member of Lone Start Baptist Church under the late Rev. Aaron Taylor. He attended school in Bastrop, Texas.
He worked for Butler Brickyard in Elgin Texas, Coco Cola Plant in Bastrop, Texas and City of Bastrop for many years. Dwight always had a kind word for everyone he met and was willing to help anyone when needed.
Both parents, five brothers (Otis Jr., Bobby, Larry, Ervin and Eugene Peterson) and two sisters (Lillie Johnson and Alfreda Peterson) preceded him in death. Dwight leaves to cherish his memory one brother, Ricky Peterson of Austin, one caring devoted loving sister, Grace Childers (Curtis) of Bastrop, and a special nephew Fredrick Johnson Sr. (Tammy) of Elgin, Texas. Also left to cherish his memory are niece Theresa Peterson, nephews Terence Peterson, Zachary Peterson, Ken Peterson, and Darwin Peterson, great-nieces Haley Johnson and Heather Johnson & great-nephew Fredrick “Bubba” Johnson Jr. along with a host of other relatives and friends.
