Lorine (Ullmann) Vogel

Lorine Ullmann Vogel was born march 21, 1927 to Otto and Ella Ullmann in Prairie Valley Texas, being the third of three children.  Lorine passed away at Towers Nursing Home on Monday December 11, 2017 in Smithville, Texas. She was preceded in death by her father, mother, husband, brother Werner and sister Alma. She was 90 years old.

Lorine was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith at St Peter in Prairie Valley.

She attended school at the little one room schoolhouse next to St. Peter Lutheran Church in Prairie Valley Texas. 

Lorine was married to Anton Julius Vogel on June 11, 1946 in St. Peter Lutheran Church. They lived in Smithville Texas and had 2 children. One stillborn son unnamed and one daughter, Jane Cathryn.

During her life she worked at various jobs, mostly sales, and lastly with the CCA in Smithville where she cared for elderly clients by seeing to their daily needs. She loved her people she cared for and they loved her. She retired from the CCA and ended her working years in Smithville.

Lorine became a resident of Towers Nursing Home in Smithville on December 12, 2016 where she spent the last year off her life. Lorine was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Smithville.
