Obituary

Verlie Davis Jr. was born on January 14, 1962 to Verlie and Varnett Davis in Bastrop, Texas. Verlie attended Bastrop High School. He worked in the construction industry for many years. Although he seemed to really have a passion for washing and detailing cars. He would often brag about how he could “hook your car up, and Oh, I’ll have it shining and it’ll ride better.” Verlie was baptized at an early age by Rev. C.F.M. Jones of Antioch Baptist Church. Verlie just knew how to make you laugh. He had an irresistible charm about him that for some odd reason wouldn’t allow you to remain upset with him too long.

Verlie was blessed beyond measure. He departed this life on March 17, 2017. He was preceded in death by: his loving parents, Verlie and Varnett Davis and brother Paul Davis.

Left to cherish his memories are: his brother(s), Clark Jackson (Charlene), of Pflugerville, Texas. Thomas Davis (Peggy), of Chester, VA. Danny Davis, San Jose, CA. and sister(s): Janice Willard, of Austin, TX. Anita Davis, of Bastrop, TX. Sandra Thompson, of Austin, TX. Also our Aunt Joyce Haywood, of Bastrop, Texas and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other loving relatives and friends.
