Roberta Lindquist Obituary

Roberta Lee Lindquist was born on July 13, 1942,  in Park Ridge, Illinois, to the late Einar Walter Lindquist and Marjorie May Mix. She passed away on April 4, 2024 in Smithville, Texas. She was proceeded in death by her parents, her step father, Frederick “Bozo” Berg, as well as her baby brother, James Einar Lindquist and her grandson, Zakkary Sebastian Johnson.

After graduating high school Roberta excelled in beauty school and worked as a hair dresser for over fifty years. Hair was a passion of hers and she was known as the best colorist around. She had the same clientele for years as she treated each and every one like family. Roberta was a gifted and talented painter and created exquisite art in her spare time.  She was creative, artistic, kind, beautiful and had the most loving and angelic soul. She loved working with her hands and getting them dirty planting flowers and painting/coloring with her grandson, Jackson Tennessee Johnson. Roberta had the softest and most beautiful, delicate hands.

While gifted at hair, Roberta’s true passion was her family and they were her greatest joy. Her pride was in her daughters, sons, grand children and great grandchildren that she was blessed with. She was an excellent cook and loved to prepare large meals for her family. She loved to brag about all of her children and their children and you couldn’t talk to Roberta without getting a full update on everyone in her beloved family. She was so proud.

She leaves to honor her memory her four loving children, Kevin Charles Johnson, Kerri Lee Ruth, Shawn Michael Johnson and Katherine Ann Johnson as well as numerous beloved grand children and great grandchildren whom she cherished. She is also survived by her beautiful sister, Mary Ann Bates and her niece, nephew, and cousins that she loved dearly.

We remember Roberta for her dedication and unwavering love for her family. She will be deeply missed by all those whose lives she touched.
