General Information

To The Families We Serve

The following price list meets the necessary requirement of the funeral pricing required by the Federal Trade Commission. While there are very specific language and disclosures required from FTC we have included additional information in more understandable terms. It is the hope of Gipson Pendergrass People’s Mortuary that we help the patron become knowledgeable and not inferior.

Payment Policies

To lose someone you love is a devastating human experience. It is frequently traumatic and can seriously impact judgement. We believe in the importance of the recognition and meaningful celebration of a life that has been lived and will assist in arranging an appropriate service to meet your individual needs.

It is also important to be realistic in respect to funeral expenditures. We do not want a family to spend more than they should nor less than they would like. What is important is that arrangements be in keeping with a family´s wishes and budget.

Provisions for payment are due at the time of arrangements. To avoid any possibility of misunderstanding or embarrassment and for your convenience, we accept the the following methods of payment that are approved and verified.

  • Cash
  • Check (all checks are verified)
  • Insurance Assignment of a verified policy (all arrangements paid by insurance assignment with be charged an additional 6%)
  • Advance payment by forwarding or receiving funeral home pre-arrangement
