On December 11, 1938, a beautiful baby girl was born to A. Clark and Annie Lee King-Curtis in Bastrop, Texas. She came to know Christ at an early age; uniting with Long Star Baptist Church. In her later years, she relocated to Austin, Texas, where she joined New Jerusalem Baptist Church under the pastorage of the Reverend A. L. Sneed. Bobbie was a hard worker. She was employed by Travis State School for several years and later became a driver for Del Valle Independent School District. After retiring from Del Valle Schools, she would become a foster parent. Bobbie was a mother first. In addition to raising her children, she welcomed a number of foster children into her home. She loved working with the children. Bobbie was a volunteer foster grandparent with Open Doors Day Care and was affectionately known as “Grandma Bobbie” to her Pre-K foster grandchildren. Bobbie was a joyful woman that loved to have fun. She loved God, her family, gardening (her beautiful plants), fishing, good music and cooking. Bobbie was 80 years of age when she peacefully departed this life to join the parade of angels on Friday, August 16, 2019. She is survived by her sons; M.C. Caro (Dorothy), Nathaniel Caro (Cassandra Gail), Laron Caro; Daughter; Tina Patterson (Rev Walter Patterson), foster son; Jeffrey Daly, and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
