On August 17, 1969 a baby boy was born to L.E. (Sonny) Nealy and Gussie Davis Nealy. He was the sixth child of 11 children. Charles was raised by his grandmother Gussie Grant Davis. He graduated from La Grange High school in 1988.
Charles confessed hope in Christ and join St. James Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Austin Jones. He was an active member until his health failed him October 14, 2018. Charles had a heart attach on November 3, 2018. He was called home with his family by his side.
Charles was known to make you smile on your bad days. He loved his trail ride family. He loved to cook and he loved his church family very much. He will truly be missed.
Preceding him in death is his father L.E. (Sonny) Nealy, grandparents James and Gussie Davis, Louise Mc Queen, Jack Nealy, Jerry and Luberta Grant, Annie Phillip, 2 uncles James Davis Jr. and Alfred Lester Davis.
He leaves to cherish his memory his mother Gussie Nealy, seven brothers James (Twola) Nealy, Clarence (Daniel) Nealy, BVincent Nealy, Craig (Kathy) Nealy, Alfred Nealy, Kenny Wayne Nealy all of Smithville, Texas, Vastine (Christine) Nealy of Giddings, Texas; three sisters Brunetta Jo Davis, Stacey (Wayne) Washington of Smithville, Texas and Velma (Henry) Taylor of Houston, Texas. Five nieces Markeshia Whasington, Aalliyah Jones Nededog, Chante Nealy, Annie Nealy and Niasia Minton; five nephews Brieon Brown, Clarence Nealy Jr., Patric Nealy, Kenny Nealy Jr., and Corey Nealy; two great nieces Mia Nededog and Loe Nededog, The Carlton Family; his brother and friend Anthony (Funanny) Carlton, his sister and friend Demetrica (Sassy); two aunts Estell Griffin of La Marque, Texas, Lula Davis of La Grange, Texas; one uncle Charles Clinton Davis of Houston, Texas and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
