Dale Daniel Kiefer, 60, of Smithville, Texas passed away 21 October 2019 at St. David’s Medical Center in Austin, Texas.

Dale was born 27 November 1958 in Faulkton, South Dakota to Frank and Carol Kiefer. He grew up on his parent’s farm near Faulkton and attended school in Faulkton. After leaving South Dakota he moved to Texas and worked for various companies as a heavy equipment operator.

Dale is survived by his parents Frank and Carol Kiefer of Faulkton, longtime partner April Wolfe of Smithville, Texas, daughter Jennifer Haefs, grandson Gavin Haefs, brothers Richard (Ingrid) Kiefer, Daryl Kiefer, Robbie (Antonia) Kiefer, Kevin (Deanna) Kiefer, Jeff Kiefer, sisters Debra (Mark) Keen and Sandra (Tobey) Vander Laan. He is also “Uncle Dale” to several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Peter and Amelia Kiefer and William and Lillian Martschinske and two brothers, Roger Kiefer and Todd Kiefer.

Memorial services will be held at a future date in South Dakota.
