On October 26, 1953 a handsome baby boy was born to Mr. Elworth Barnett, Sr. and Mrs. Lula Nell Washington Barnett. He received his former education from Bloomington, Texas and graduated in 1972
Henry confessed hope in Christ at an early age joining the Shiloh Primitive Baptist Church. He was an active member of the church serving with the Brotherhood Auxiliary and President of Trustee Board under the leadership of Elder R.H. Howard until health complications.
Henry was a very loyal and hard worker. He held several occupations:
Head Chef -Driskill Hotel (10 Years)
Cement Finisher-Mastering Flooring (20+ years
Maintenance Engineer-Hampton Suites (3 years)
His passion and love for cooking was the highlight of his life. If you didn’t get to sample his barbeque (especially the wild hog) you missed a treat. Henry is joining his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Elworth Barnett, Sr., brothers: Cordell, Dickie, and Sammie Barnett, Louis, James and Clay Benford, and one Sister Mildred Lewis.
Leaving Cherished Memories: Wife of 23 years, Chevalya Barnett, Bastrop, Texas; one aunt, Lareen Jones, Bastrop, Texas, two brothers: Elworth Barnett, Jr. and Ross Benford, Jr. both of Bastrop, Texas, five sisters: Lareen Barnett (Walter), Lavern Marshall, and Betty Piper of Bastrop, Texas; Lee Etta Roberts and Mildred Williams of Austin, Texas. Six children: daughter: Calandra LeTrece Collins (Kerry) of Bastrop, Texas, sons: Adrian Washington (Lori), Brandon Barnett (Brandy), Milton Evans, III (Bridey), all of Bastrop, Texas; Rodney Woodson of Louisiana and Antwoin Evans (Teha) of Houston, Texas; 24 Grandchildren and 8 Great-Grandchildren and host of nieces and nephews, along with many family members and friends.
