OBITUARY FOR SCOTT “SCOTTIE” OREILLY, JR
Scott “Scottie” O’Reilly, Jr., age 25, of Red Rock and Bastrop, went to be with the Lord on February 21, 2018. Scottie was a joyous, loving and devoted son, grandson, brother, cousin, nephew and friend to all of those he loved dearly. His sudden passing has left an unfathomable hole in the hearts of those who loved and cherished him. He will truly be missed and forever in our hearts. His laughter and smile would light up a room and he brought his love, thoughtfulness and kind nature wherever he went. Those that he crossed paths with felt his wonderful and delightful spirit instantly. We are grateful for the time God allowed us to be with him.
Scottie adored his family, his fiancé Dionne Clinton, his friends, football, basketball, hunting, golfing, fishing, family vacations and his faithful dog “Lulu”. He was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes and Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
Scottie was born on December 23,1992 in Toledo, Ohio. He moved with his family to their ranch in Red Rock in 2000. He is a graduate of Bastrop High School (2011) and attended Texas State University, as well, as Blinn College. Scottie worked as an apprentice home inspector in the O’Reilly family home inspection business and for Applied Elastomers in Cedar Creek.
He leaves behind his parents, Scott and Sondra O’Reilly, his sister Searra O’Reilly, brother-in- law Khris Russell, brother Jacob O’Reilly, paternal grandparents Paul and Mary O’Reilly of Red Rock, maternal grandparents Annie and Fred Smith of Toledo, Ohio, Aunt Beth and Uncle Jay Kazen of Cypress, cousin Sebastian Kazen, Uncle Fred Smith, Jr. of Toledo, Ohio, his Great-Grandmother Phyllis J. O’Reilly and a host of family and friends that loved him dearly. Our hearts are broken forever. We take comfort in our memories of him but our hearts will never be the same.
