Bobbie Hunter Obituary

Bobby Ray Hunter was born to the late Helen Bernice and Johnny Robert Hunter on August 3rd, 1954 in Bastrop, Texas. He accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized by the late Pastor J.D. Cleveland of Union Hill Baptist Church where Bobby would also serve for many years. He was a 1974 graduate of Bastrop High School. Later, Bobby united with Lone Star Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Fred D. Blackman Sr. where he sang in the male chorus senior choir. He also for many years traveled and sang with the Heavenly Praisers gospel group which was very near and dear to his heart.

Bobby is preceded in death by his wife Billie Hunter, parents Johnny Robert and Helen Bernice Hunter, two sisters Shirley Hunter Carthorne (Luther) Helen I. Blackman(Fred) two brothers Johnny Ray Hunter Jr, Edward (Cherry) Hunter, a niece Trenecia C. Wilson as well as aunts and uncles.

He leaves to cherish his memories One brother Pastor Charles Hunter (Georgia) sis in law Lennie B. Hunter and bro in law Pastor Fred D. Blackman Sr. four children LaQuita Warren (Chris), Gerald Bell, Phillip Bell(Shauntrice) Tim Smith(Christine). Six grandchildren Brittney, Phylicia, Amea, Edward, Nicole, Timothy Smith Jr. Four nieces Helen R. Taylor(Gary), Charneace Hunter, Quinita Williams. Nephews Johnny R. Hunter III, John F. Hunter Sr (Tammy), Julian D. Wilson, Anthony J. Hunter, Quinton D. Williams. great nieces Karionna Hunter, Mia A. Taylor, Tatianna Hunter, Adalyn Hunter,  great nephews John F. Hunter Jr., Robert Hunter, Elijah Hunter, Isaiah Hunter, Tyson Hunter, Eli Hunter, Anthony Hunter and a host of family and friends.
