David C Sheridan of Smithville passed away on March 1st after his battle with lung cancer.  It was his wish to pass at home, and through the efforts of friends, family, and his church, he was able to do so with his family caring for him.  He was born October 28, 1943, to John and Carmen Sheridan of Windsor Locks, Connecticut.  Dave graduated from Windsor Locks High School and joined the Airforce immediately after.  He was stationed in Turkey during the cold war and would later be relocated to Bergstrom AFB in Austin, TX.  After his service, he found employment with the Department of Public Safety.  He would eventually relocate to Odessa, Texas and some years later would move on to work in the oil fields.  After the Oil bust of the 1980's he returned to his hometown for several years before returning to Texas where he would start his own hotshot transportation business. While common interests varied amongst his many family and friends, his love of food transcended all relationships.  He loved to cook as much as he loved to eat.  As the descendant of Italian immigrants, food was always a family affair, it was often a focal point at gather
