Eddie Thomas Jr. was born on March 15, 1945, in Smithville, Texas to Ida Mae & Eddie Thomas. He attended Mary A. Brown School and graduated from Smithville High. He married Annie and they had 2 children. He worked for many years as a truck driver. He passed away on June 13, 2023, at Dell Seton Medical Center after a long-term illness.

Eddie Jr. is survived by his wife, Annie Thomas and son Kevin Thomas (Barbara), daughter, Marilyn Dykes, sons Craig Houston, Anthony Rodgers, Sean Kennon, a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren including Monique Quarrells and Racquel Johnson. He also leaves to cherish his memories his sister, Joyce (Kenneth) Woolridge and 3 brothers; Melvin (Courtney) Thomas, Willie (Dana) Thomas, Johnny Thomas, Nieces & nephews; Tynisha Thomas, Tywanna Thomas, Brandon Thomas, Michelle Carr, Curtis Carr, Gregory Murray, Dana Thomas, Tanisha Thomas, Kevin Thomas, Johnny Sampson, “Aunt Sister” Louise Leonard “Uncle Jay” Jason Drisdale and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and many special friends and relatives.

Eddie was proceeded in death by his parents, Ida Mae Thomas, Eddie Thomas, son Vincent Thomas, 2 sisters Mary Louise Carr, and Linda Murray, 3 brothers: Lloyd Thomas, Alfred Thomas and Lindsey Thomas.
