God called and Helen answered and went home to be with the Lord.
Mrs. Helen Jean Johnson Deary Jr. of Smithville, Texas
entered eternal rest on October 8, 2023.
On July 13, 1967 in the small town Flatonia Texas God blessed Albert Lee and Helen Sr. (Thomas) Johnson with a beautiful baby girl they named Helen Jean Johnson Jr. Helen was the third child out of seven children.
Helen attended Smithville School District. Later in life she went back to school and got a degree in industrial Cleaning Services. Helen started her own business by cleaning houses around Smithville for many years. She also would cook for her community, family and friends. Helen give her life to the Lord and confessed her love at an early age. She would attend Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church in Smithville, and other churches around the community. Helen rededicated her life and was baptized by Pastor Ronnie Holt.
Helen was well known by many names including Little Helen, Fast Black but most of all “Aunt Felicia” she loved the most. Helen enjoyed her family and friends. Everyone always drop by sat for awhile on her porch, listening to some good blues and Helen always was cooking and show her two step dancing moves. Helen was the life of every event.
Helen will be truly missed by her family, friends, and her community.
Helen proceeds in death by her parents (Helen’s Father) Albert Lee Johnson (Helen’s Mother) Helen Jean Johnson Sr., one brother J’Tony Hill and her favorite Aunt Jackie.
Helen leaves to cherish her memories her husband Frank Deary Sr. Helen one and only son Christopher Johnson Sr.; Helen’s two grandsons Christopher Johnson Jr. and Jeremiah White. Helen also leaves her loving memories with her brothers and sisters
Isaac Thomas Sr. Ruben (Tasha) Johnson, Kewation Johnson, Kathie Johnson, Karinesha Johnson (Jerry Taylor) and La Tonya Johnson (Micheal Limuel) Helen bonus, children Roderick Smith, Frank Deary Jr, Lance (Anna) Deary, Pam Deary, and Holly Deary. Helen’s uncles Tommie Thomas and David Johnson. Helen’s aunts Beatrice McAfee, Darlene Gilaen, Betty Bates, Ester Lee Sims, and Tina Johnson. She also leaves host of nephews and nieces, family and friends.
