Joel Marvin Jenkins went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday February 21, 2022.
Joel Marvin Jenkins was born to Joe L. Jenkins and Ruby (Etzel) Jenkins on September 13, 1951 in Smithville, Texas.
Joel also known by the name Jody to family and friends was preceded in death by both parent. He is survived by his wife of 46 yrs, Terry Jenkins of Smithville, Tx. a son Christopher Jenkins of Bandara, a daughter Tabatha Jenkins of Daytona Beach, Florida, his sisters, Pam Johnson of Oklahoma, Susan White of Bastrop, Sandy Johnson of Smithville and one brother Hoyt Jenkins of Winchester, one grandson Landon Jenkins of Washington State, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Jody was a Master Automotive Technician by trade. He spent most of his life working and living in Smithville. He was considered a "jack of all trades". Among his many talents was a large collection of toy trains, working with his hands making things out of wood, he played the harmonica in church, and he tried to learn how to play the banjo.
There will be a memorial service (celebration of life) at a later date, to be announced.
