On September 25, 1963, a beautiful baby girl, Kimberly Rochelle Harris, was born to Mr. and Mrs. Floyd E. Harris Sr. As a member of First Primitive Baptist Church, Kim accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age. Kim uniquely touched the lives of so many of us in different ways; though, the love for her family and friends was undeniably universal.
Kim, also known to some as Kimmie, attended many schools across the country and overseas in Germany. She graduated from Nuremberg High School in 1981, and returned to the U.S. to attend Huston-Tillotson University, and later Central Texas College.
Kim is preceded in death by her father Floyd Harris Sr. She is survived by her husband of 17 years Alex David Coleman and her mother Lola Harris. She is also survived by her daughter Tye-Shelle Harris and siblings Patsy Harris, Floyd Harris Jr., and Mildred Harris, all of Austin and Houston Texas. She has four nephews James and Joshua Harris, and Kirk Teal Jr. and Kameron Teal; one niece Kara Teal all of Austin, Texas. She also survived by aunts and uncles and a host of many cousins.
