Lindsey was born October 31, 1949, in Smithville, Texas to Ida Mae & Eddie Thomas. He attended Mary A. Brown School. He worked for many years as a truck driver. He passed away on April 25, 2023, at Smithville Hospital in Smithville, Texas after a long term illness.

Linsey is survived by his 2 daughters, Casandra Harrison & Yolanda Alta Young: his 2 sons, Nicholas Thomas & Nathan Thomas. He also leaves to cherish his memories his sister Joyce (Kenneth) Wooldridge and 4 brothers Melvin (Courtney) Thomas, Willie (Dana) Thomas, Johnny Thomas & Eddie (Annie) Thomas Jr. nieces and nephews: Tynisha Thomas, Tywanna Thomas, Brandon Thomas, Michelle Carr, Curtis Carr, Gregory Murray, Dana Thomas, Tanisha Thomas, Marilyn Dykes, Kevin Thomas, Johnny Sampson and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and many special friends and relatives.

Linsey was proceeded in death by his parents, Ida Mae Thomas & Eddie Thomas, 2 sisters Mary Louise Carr and Linda Murray, 2 brothers Lloyd Thomas and Alfred Thomas.
