Mary Joan (Allen) Gray

Mary Joan Allen Gray, 66, passed away on April 10 th , 2023 at her home in Cedar Creek Tx. She is survived
by her husband Ken W. Gray, Son Ken L. Gray and his wife Dana Gray, Daughter Karla Gray and her
husband Michael Peralta, Daughter Katie Gray and stepson Eric Gray and his wife Pamela Gray;
grandchildren Ashlee, Kayla and Dylan Gray; Daisy and Stevie Peralta; and Layla and Logan Gray.

She was preceded by her father Sydney Allen.

She was born in the San Fernando Valley in California in 1956. She graduated from High School while
attending Beauty college, where she obtained her cosmetology license. She worked in the same salon in
Mission Hills, Ca from 1978 to 2019 when she retired.

In 2021 she moved to Cedar Creek, Texas with her husband and daughters to be closer to her son and
family. Mary Jo loved the outdoors, swimming, camping, hiking, kayaking, gardening, restoring old
furniture and road trips. She loved spending time with family and celebrating all holidays, especially
Halloween. She was a devoted animal lover, her most recent dog Izzy and her horse Sargant.

She was loved by many and will be missed greatly. In lieu of flowers, her family is asking that donations
be made to the local animal shelter, Bastrop County Animal Shelter.
