Mildred (Langlinais) Petzold

Funeral services for Mildred Stone Petzold, 91, of Smithville will be held Tuesday, Oct 17 at 11am at the Giddings City Cemetery.

Ms. Stone died peacefully in her home in Smithville on Tuesday, Oct 10, 2023.  Born July 19, 1932 as Lillian Mildred Langlinais in Crowley, LA to Harrison Peair and Lillian (Jeanis) Langlinais.  She married Charley Stone on Nov. 11, 1950 in Rosenburg.  After losing Charley, she married Milton Petzold later in life.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.  She worked for 20 years greeting the community at the local Walmart and enjoyed spending time at her church and community center.  

Ms. Stone was proceeded in death by her parents, both husbands, and her son David Stone.  She is survived by her children, Larry Stone and Judy Cooke, grandchildren Denver Stone and Rachelle Cooke, and great grandchildren Tobin and Ellie Ston,
