My beloved father, Reverend William H. Walker, was called to his Heavenly home on October 3, 2020. It says in Acts 20:28 – “Therefore take heed to yourselves and to all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepard the church of God which He purchased with His own blood.” Pastor Walker was an active, faithful, and loyal Shepard in the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church for over 40 years until his health failed him in 2015. Because of his faithful service to the flock of God, he can truly say, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on the Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing” II Timothy 4: 7-8
He is proceeded in death by his father and mother, Rev. Julian A. Walker and Mrs. Texanna Elizabeth Allen Walker, and his sister, Betty Marie Walker. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 30 years Helen M. Walker, daughter, Katrina M. Ralph (Dustin Ralph), step-son, Trini M. Jones, his brothers, Julian A. Walker Jr., John A Walker Sr., and Charles W. Walker. His niece and nephews, Cheryl Black, John A. Walker Jr., Anthony Walker, sister-in-laws and many other nieces and nephews. His legacy lives on through his cherished “grandboys”, Preston Howard Ralph and Ashton Henry Ralph
Services will be held on October 17, 2020 at 11 am at First Baptist Church in Smithville, Texas. Interment will be at Oakhill Cemetery.
