Robert McLaurin Jr. was born June 1st, 1943 in Austin, Texas. His parents were Robert Cecil McLaurin and Alfreda Mackie Hicks. He had 2 brothers and 2 sisters. Marvin Cecil McLaurin which preceeded him in death, Frances Hagler of Houston, Texas and Ruthie McLaurin of Bastrop, Texas.

Robert met and married Carol Gooden on July 23, 1965 and to this union 4 children were born; Conrad McLaurin, Robert McLaurin III, Cottrll McLaurin and Richard McLaurin.

He is survived by his sons and 2 Grandsons Avery McLaurin and Tyler Walsh
